Choosing a Doctor
When this whole idea of trying to have a baby started I started doing a little research on a doctor to use because I wasn't very happy with my current doctor. I made a short list of three doctors that seemed decent and put the list away figuring I didn't need to worry about it then. As we got farther along in the process and all of the ovulation tests came back negative I decided I'd schedule an appointment with my doctor to figure out what was going on. When I called they told me that they couldn't get me in for over a month and I didn't really feel comfortable waiting that long. After some more thought and research I called another doctor and told them what was going on and scheduled an appointment two weeks later. I kept the appointment with my original doctor just in case this new doctor didn't work out. I wasn't really sure if I'd made the right decision until God delivered a few signs to me. About a week after I made the appointment I found my original research back from October with the list of the three doctors, and on the top of that list was the name of my new doctor! Once I found out that I was pregnant I had to reschedule my appointment and the staff was super friendly when doing so. The Monday I got back from Lubbock I went to go buy some baby goodies. While I was driving I realized the stores I was going to were on the same street as the doctor's office. I figured I'd keep an eye out for it so when it came time for my appointment I'd know where I was going. So keeping my eyes peeled I spotted my new doctor's office...in the exact same building that Garrett and I had refinanced our home in just a few short months ago! I instantly felt at peace with choosing these doctor. Now I am ready to meet this doctor in just a few short days and thankful for God's beautiful blessing of signs!
