Seeing our Blessing for the first time!

We had our first doctor's appointment today! The staff at the office was super friendly and so was the doctor, a little ditzy, but still really friendly (I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about a ditzy doctor). One of the receptionist's cousins goes to school at FBE so this little Godwink brought a sense of comfort.  We went over all the typical doctor questions and advice for pregnancy. Then we got to see our precious little baby.  I laid on the table while the doctor looked around for the baby. At first all you could see was just black and white, then I started to get nervous and looked away. The doctor finally stopped moving around and there "it" was. She showed us the tiny spot on the screen that is our little baby. We even saw flashes that were the baby's heart.  It was truly like something out of a movie. I was overcome with total joy and couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Our little peanut is measuring at 6 weeks 4 days with a due date of December 14th. We can't wait to meet our beautiful blessing and share the news with our families this weekend! Until then we will continue to pray for this peanut to develop into a healthy baby!
